•Single Instance, Private Configuration: In this scenario the pasUnity GUI, services, and databases are all installed on a single machine
•Multiple Instance, Shared Configuration: In this scenario the pasUnity GUI and services are installed on multiple machines but share a common data store for centralization of administrative and reporting tasks.
Additionally, both the pasUnity application and the pasUnity database may be installed on a Windows Failover Cluster for high-availability.
If you will be installing the pasUnity services on a mobile workstation or a machine that has poor connectivity to domain resources, you should install a single instance configuration. If you will be installing on servers in a LAN architecture and would like to centrally/remotely administer the agents, you should install in the multiple instance configuration.
