Copy File |
|
The Copy File job step is used to copy a file from one location to another in the file system and optionally overwrite an existing file.
This job step type extends basic job step functionality. For details common to all job step types click here.
In addition to the common attributes shared by all job steps this job step type has the following attributes:
Copy Options tab:
•Source File Name: The fully-qualified name of an existing source file in the file system to copy to another location. File names are not checked until execution time so macros may be used.
•Destination File Name: The fully-qualified name of the destination file in the file system to which the source file will be copied. File names are not checked until execution time so you may use macros.
•Allow Overwrite: By default, if the destination file already exists the copy operation will fail. Checking this option will allow the system to overwrite existing files.
