AutoTask Ticket Creator

 

 

 

The AutoTask Ticket Creator job step type is used to forward a message sent to a corporate help desk vanity address to the AutoTask software where a trouble ticket can be automatically created.

 

This job step can preserve the original sender information and attachments when creating the new ticket.

 


This job step type extends basic job step functionality.  For details common to all job step types click here.


 

In addition to the common attributes shared by all job steps this job step type has the following attributes:

AutoTask User ID: The logon to the AutoTask web application.

AutoTask Password: The password that corresponds to the User ID above.

Message From: The email address of the account that the message will appear to be coming from.

Message To: The support email address.that you are instructed to use when adding tickets.

CC: Email addresses to which you would like to courtesy copy the message.

BCC: Email addresses to which you would like to blind courtesy copy the message.

Subject: You can supply a new value or preserve the original subject using the {MESSAGE-SUBJECT} processing token.

Attachments: When checked any attachments on the original email are forwarded to the AutoTask software.

Message Mode: Allows the user to choose whether to forward the original message text body or to compose a custom message.

<Body>: This section allows you to specify the contents of the message that will appear in addition to the custom XML markup that is added to the body by pasUnity.

After making changes be sure to press the Update button to save your changes.
