Describes one of two values that determine if a double-entry accounting amount is on the debit or credit side or a transaction.

 

Values

1.Debit [alias: D] -  Accounting amount is on the debit side of a transaction.

2.Credit [alias: C] - Accounting amount is on the credit side of a transaction.
