pasUnity Remote Execution

The pasUnity Remote Execution module is used to manually impel (execute) jobs created and maintained in remote pasUnity service endpoints.

This module functions outside the realm of the normal permissions hierarchy.  For more information on the roles referenced in this section please see the role based security topic.  Administrative users can configure additional module settings by clicking the  button.

If the module has not yet been configured a notice will appear to all users that configuration is required prior to first use.

NOTE: This module has special configuration requirements that must be performed prior to use.  See the pasUnity Remote Execution Configuration topic for more details.

In order to execute jobs defined in a remote pasUnity service endpoint an administrative user must first assign Use permissions on the Service Item in the Service Configuration Manager module.  Additionally, the Execute permission must be assigned on the Impeller in pasUnity which is performed externally.

To execute a remote impeller, select the impeller name from the drop down list.  Upon selection any instructions (if configured in the remote instance) will appear for the user.  If the impeller takes specialized parameter input values a data grid will appear for the user to provide those values and may even contain default values.  If remotely configured to allow it parameter values may make use of macro expressions as document in the Macro section.
